My introduction to Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition was with a campaign run by "Mach" in Orlando,
wherein I revived an old (and far from serious) bard character, Victor Reynard. Below, I chronicle
the adventures and misadventures of the party of heroes, through Reynard's point of view, up until the
sudden anticlimactic end to the campaign.
After that point, I ran a campaign from late 2003 to mid-2004, using D&D 3.0 (with a few rules
and changes adopted from the 3.5 books), and reviving many of the characters from the first campaign.
For a special twist, our heroes went through my interpretation upon the Nine Hells in the
D&D cosmology, merged with imagery taken from Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy" - or, more specifically,
the Inferno.
For now, this page is a loose collection for journal entries, character portraits, backstories and house
rules. As I find the time, I may put in more material from my "Inferno" campaign, and perhaps even a few
photos of the scenery.

I've also created a few custom floor tiles meant for use with miniatures, either for
D&D, Warcraft RPG, or for other fantasy games. Feel free to download and print for personal use.
For versions of these (and other tiles) in the more portable PDF format, check out my
Map Tiles page. There are also a few useful resources
on my Fonts page, such as "treasure item" clip art. |

Inspired by "The Orc and Pie Adventure", here is the 10'x10' dungeon room (and pie),
presented as a 2x2 square room. Feel free to print it off. Orc not included. (Made with Hirst Arts
blocks and a bit of photosampling of greenery from my back yard.)

A dungeon cell block (8x9) - use it as-is, or cut it up to have a corridor with several doorways along its length.

A shady forest path (8x10) - a fine site for an ambush.

A relatively open forest area (8x10), useful for flanking the "shady forest path" and expanding the wooded area.
Individual tree trunks aren't represented here; it's recommended that if you want to represent hindrance caused
by trees and underbrush, just apply penalties to movement, and cover bonuses to AC while in the woods.

A 7x9 dungeon chamber with a large pool of slime (or perhaps just very murky water).
|
|
A 7x9 large room with tables, fireplace, and wooden floor, perhaps for a tavern or meeting hall. (It's a bit
scarce on the details, but that's partially to increase the genericity - and, I hope, flexibility - of the piece.)
|
|
An assortment of 2x2 square dungeon cells and pits, meant to be cut apart and used separately. (Two of the cells
are identical to the pits - perhaps indicating the revelation of a secret door.)
