This is just a collection of "map tiles" that I've created for use with miniatures or markers, with various
RPG games. Feel free to print them off, cut them out (and, optionally, glue down to cardboard or mat board)
for personal use. If you'd like some paper models to use with them, you might want to check out my
fonts page or
paper models page.

Wooden Dungeon Doors
A sheet of paper model dungeon doors you can cut out and fold over to represent doors with these floor tiles. (They're made to
either be folded over "prism" or "inverted T" style.)

Dungeon Grab Bag #1
Until such time as I organize these a bit better, here is a grab bag of images of "dungeon"
sections, in approximately 1"=5m scale, with 1/2" thick wall sections. Some are meant to be cut apart and
reassembled to make your own "custom" rooms and passages. Photographs of scenery assembled using
Hirst Arts molded blocks and digital camera texture sampling. Also includes
the Orc and Pie room (inspired
by Monte Cook's "Orc and Pie" adventure).

|
Dungeon Grab Bag #2
A collection of plain floor tile textures on 8"x10" sheets, most marked off in 1" grids. These aren't complete rooms; rather, they're
meant for you to print onto cardstock and then cut out and paste together in whatever arrangements you like, in order to make basic
passages, intersections and chambers - and things such as the sludge or water textures can be used to make hazards and obstacles.
Tiles include: Brown Tiles, Grass Lawn, Green Sludge, Grey Brick, Ivy Dungeon, Muddy Cavern, Red/Green Bricks,
Sepia Mosaic, Water, Woodpanel 1, and Woodpanel 2.

|
Dungeon Grab Bag #3
This is a work-in-progress (though the same could be said for Grab Bag #1 as well), continuing the floor tile texture format,
but with more of a "fantasy steampunk" theme. Textures include: Anti-Skid Diamond Plate, Blue Marble, Grates, Radioactive, and
Steampunk Machinery. When time allows, I hope to expand this with some pipes and gears and lots of riveted plates.

|
Map Tiles: Forest
A series of "outdoors" sections, in approximately 1"=5m scale, meant to be printed off as 8"x10" floor tiles (but feel
free to cut them up and glue them back together however you like). Textures were borrowed from my back yard. Includes
versions with and without 1" grids, depicting a leaf-strewn forest floor, a forest brook, a wooden bridge crossing, a
leafy forest trail, and a secluded forest pool. Last updated 1 Jan 2008 (to add "tree stump" tiles and reduce file
size).

|
Ironclaw Shrine of S'allumer
Cut-apart floor tiles of chambers, corridors and turns that can be assembled to make the layout for an unfurnished temple, shrine,
or noble residence. As with the Dungeon Grab Bag, Hirst Arts blocks were used for photographic
samples to create the stone walls and columns. This represents some earlier work, and is not necessarily "compatible" with other
floor tile designs found here. For use with Ironclaw, or any other
fantasy RPG. (Ironclaw is a trademark of Sanguine Productions, Ltd.)

|
Advanced HeroQuest Plain Floor Tiles
Black and white hand-drawn images of replacement interlocking puzzle floor tiles for use with
Advanced HeroQuest or other fantasy RPGs,
in the peculiar scale (not quite 1"=5m) of the game. These require a bit more work to use, since cutting out
the "puzzle lock" sections (especially if matted on cardboard) can be tricky. (Advanced HeroQuest is a trademark of Games Workshop UK.)
|
|
Advanced HeroQuest Ivy Ruin Floor Tiles
Colored versions of the hand-drawn floor tiles above, depicting an ivy-choked ruin, for use with Advanced HeroQuest or other
fantasy RPGs. (Advanced HeroQuest is a trademark of Games Workshop UK.)
|
|
Pirates RPG Sloop Ship Deck
Photo-composited and modified floor tiles depicting the deck of a one-masted sloop, for use with the
Pirates RPG. Photographed using a modified
Mega Bloks Pyrates "Captain Cutlass's Stormstalker" ship, with assorted scenery bits. Includes
versions with and without a 1" grid overlay.
|
|
Pirates RPG Boats & Docks
Photo-composited and modified floor tiles depicting the decks of a small skiff and dhow, plus a shipwreck "island," and some
docks, for use with the
Pirates RPG. Photo-sampled using toy ships from Pressman's "Weapons & Warriors
Pirate Battles" game, and Chap Mei's "Pirate Expeditions" toy line, as well as scenery constructed using
Hirst Arts Castlemolds blocks. Includes versions with and without a 1" grid overlay.
|
|
Chess Board Floor Tile
An 8x10 floor (1" grid scale) depicting a stone "chessboard" pattern - plus a set of chess-piece paper models inspired by the artwork of
Sir John Tenniel in Alice Through the Looking-glass. These can also be useful for the Wonderland
No More campaign setting for Savage Worlds.
|
|
Wonderland Map Tiles: Down the Rabbit Hole
Map tiles depicting a series of burrow tunnels and underground rooms in a "Wonderland" theme, for use with the
Wonderland No More campaign setting for
Savage Worlds. Last updated 31 Dec 2007 (to add "mushroom forest" and "burrow
entrance" tiles).
