Sarkan Sarkan are large reptilian humanoids who live a fairly wealthy lifestyle on their mineral-rich homeworld, and have a sense of superiority over non-reptiles. On their homeworld, they have an elaborate, ritual method of greeting one another, and all the more elaborate for greeting one's superiors. In their eyes, ignorance is no excuse, and it is exceedingly easy to give offense to a Sarkan of any station, thus making it difficult to have dealings with them. The few merchants who can master the intricacies of Sarkan greeting rituals have become quite wealthy in trade with these reptiles, but even they are looked down upon with considerable disdain if they are so unfortunate as to have been born warm-blooded.

Personality: Slow, deliberate, unwilling to be rushed, or to do things improperly. Seen as being obsessed with ritual and etiquette, resistant to putting tradition aside for the sake of emergencies. Carries an air of superiority, particularly around other species, and even more so around mammals. Will give favoritism toward fellow Sarkans of equal or greater station first, then lower-born Sarkans, then alien reptiles such as Trandoshans, then non-reptiles last: species is of higher priority than social station.

Physical Description: Humanoid with reptilian, lizard-like features, including a finely scaled body in various colors, with various patterns of speckles, spots, stripes and other unique markings, and a large, thick, muscular tail. The average adult stands 1.9 to 2.2 meters.

Adventurers: A Sarkan adventurer is most likely an outcast from his world, for whatever reason possessed with more tolerance of aliens than most of his kind ... though still likely to convey an imperious demeanor by alien standards. Even though their physical strength might seem to classify Sarkans as worthwhile warriors, traveling Sarkans are more likely to be found as Nobles or as outcast Scoundrels.
