'Blue Heaven' Dubbed 'Scourge of the Perimeter'

In the continuing investigation of the Tuesday night showdown between officers of the Dawn Alert Civilian Protection Service and a group of heretical cultists of the so-called "Armageddonist Movement", a narcotic substance found in the possession of the group has been identified as "Blue Heaven".

Cardinal Dominic "That such an abominable substance has been smuggled here from the corrupt world of Dark Eden," said Cardinal Dominic in his Wednesday night sermon, "is intolerable, and a sure sign that it is high time that greater restrictions were placed upon travel to and from the poisoned world, lest its poison spread to Luna." He also went on to praise "members of the law enforcement community" for working to try to stem the tide of illegal imports.

Ursula Banks, one of the criminals apprehended by Dawn Alert, was quoted as saying, "What's a little recreational drug, when you're all doomed to be blown to kingdom come? Armageddon is near!" She then had to be sedated when she started frothing at the mouth.

'Time to Kill' Spawns Controversy

The latest in the timeless action movie series featuring ISC Field Agent #7, "Time to Kill", has broken several records on its opening weekend, though it hasn't beaten the recently released "Gunhawks", starring Jack Slade. What has stirred up controversy, however, is that, in it, one of Agent #7's many foes is a hardbitten detective by the name of James Webster, who bears a striking resemblance to Jack Slade.

Jack Slade "I don't think they have the rights," Jack Slade was quoted as saying. "What's next -- are the Golden Lions going to sieze my house?"

Irwin Flanders "Open up the phonebook," actor/director Irwin Flanders said to reporters, "and you'll find several 'James Websters'. It's hardly a unique name. Besides, this 'James Webster' is played by a much better actor."

'Great Grey' Grounded

KA-67 Great Grey Members of the CSS succeeded in downing a Sky Shark Systems KA-67 "Great Grey" believed to be responsible for several attacks on zeppelins over Luna City, after it damaged a public-transportation blimp in a glancing collision. Law enforcement agents were unable to get a clear view of the pilot, but confirmed that no parachute or jump pack was seen escaping from the vehicle, and that the vehicle and its pilot were destroyed in an explosion when the vehicle crashed in the mountains just outside city limits. Investigators found what they believe to be the ashes of the pilot, but no motives have been determined behind the attacks, nor the identity of the attacker.

"Just some crazy kid out for blood," hypothesized one of the investigators, Trace Evans of the CSS. "Not everybody has a reason."

CSS Chief Julian Brenner Despite the elimination of this threat, CSS Chief Julian Brenner still urges motorists to "obey the no-fly zones. We still strictly enforce restricted airspace over the city. We can't have a Sky Shark cutting out over a football stadium or a grade school building."
