Humpty Dumpty Strikes Again
The so-called "Humpty-Dumpty Killer" has been terrorizing the Old City, with his trademark method of pushing victims from high elevations. Law enforcement officials worry that this may be spawning "copycat" killings, and advise travelers to exercise extreme caution when using elevated public transportation during the night-cycle. Last night, eight victims were flung from the monorails. None survived the fall, bringing the total confirmed death toll to forty-five so far.
CSS Chief Julian Brenner had this to say: "I can't divulge details of our investigation, but we believe that this is the same serial murderer that was active in San Dorado on Mars two years ago. In the meantime, citizens are advised not to travel alone on the monorails during the night-cycle, and to report any suspicious activity to the nearest available law enforcement officer."
Inquisitor Kane said, "This Heretical activity is another sign of the Darkness working amongst us. Only by faith in the Cleansing Flame of the Cardinal and the Purifying Light can we be saved from the Darkness, and the clutch of the evil that lurks within each of us. There but by the Grace of Durand go I."

"Trombone" Back in the Band
Tommy "Trombone" Trovato has been released from Ryker Maximum Security Penitentiary, his life sentence for manslaughter shortened for "good behavior". The "Trombone" is so-nicknamed because of the allegation that his weapon of choice is the Capitol-manufactured M606 light machine gun, fired from a moving vehicle during "drive-by shootings". The "Trombone" has ties to House Borgia of the Bauhaus corporation, and there have been allegations of involvement in organized crime.
