These templates are created by Jordan Peacock (AKA Jordan_Greywolf) and Wendy Peacock (AKA Kujaku10) via AtomicStryker's ruins mod. Note Updated: 12 Sep 2017 1) To use this, you need Minecraft, you need Forge Mod Loader, and you need AtomicStryker's Ruins mod. If you don't, see "GETTING RUINS" below. ... 2) Which version of Minecraft do you have? I've got templates for MC 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, etc. Make sure you go to the right folder. Templates from one version ARE NOT guaranteed to work with a different version. ... 3) My main collection in each folder will be titled something like: * ruins-adventure-1-cb-(version)-(date).zip For most people, THAT is the one you want to download. However, some people don't like command blocks, so I have "NOCB" (no command block) versions. Some people don't like monsters and traps, so instead of the "adventure" version, you might want "peaceful" versions. If either case is true, you can download the variant you want, and use that instead. Don't just install ALL of them, or you'll end up with lots of duplicates. ... 4) To install: Put the folders in the following Minecraft installation folder (exact path may vary depending upon your installation): For older versions of Minecraft: *\.minecraft\mods\resources\ruins\ For MC 1.12 and higher: *\.minecraft\config\ruins_config\ (And Ruins for MC 1.12.1 changes the biomes folder names, hence why I have a separate version for "1.12" and "1.12.1" in that folder.) ... 5) I also have "ruins-generic-tested-(version).zip" in some folders. These are just MY modifications to the "generic" structures that come with the Ruins mod. I personally prefer to empty out the "generic" folder. ... I've attempted to indicate the version number for each template in the file name (e.g., "Somethingsomething_1v10.tml" for MC version 1.10) so that if you ever upgrade your world to another version of Minecraft, it's easier to tell which templates should be deleted and replaced. Despite the ".tml" extension, all these templates are text files, and can be edited in a standard text editor such as Wordpad or Notepad. Please see documentation for AtomicStryker's Ruins mod for information on how you can modify these templates to suit your needs. ... This will just add the templates to those currently in the affected biomes folders (possibly overwriting older versions of the same templates). ------------------------------------------------------------------- Special Thanks to: * Gillymoth for help learning the ropes. * Syndaryl and MentalMouse42 for help with bug fixes. * Kujaku10 for additional templates! * A1c3e5 for explaining the "/setblock ~ ~ ~ {}" trick for getting data for teBlock rules (such as flower pots). * ... and especially to AtomicStryker for maintaining and improving my favorite Minecraft mod! :) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Usage notes for Kujaku10's and JordanGreywolf's templates: If you have a Minecraft modpack including AtomicStryker's Ruins, you are WELCOME to use any or all of our (Kujaku10's and JordanGreywolf's) templates, and to modify them to best fit your setup. Please feel free to copy parts of these structures, to borrow ideas for custom mobs, traps, and so forth. Some of these templates are specifically intended as "proof-of-concept" to share ideas with other Ruins builders. If you do include these in a modpack, I'd love to hear about it on the Ruins forum thread or via PM. :)
